Job Description

Insight Global is conducting a multi-year SCADA rollout across the state of Texas for one of our water/wastewater utility clients. We are seeking a hands-on SCADA I&C Technician to serve as the primary on-the-ground technical expert in the northern Texas region to support the deployment of 75 sites over the next 12 months. This role requires frequent travel to different sites across northern Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
- SCADA Deployment & Field Oversight: Serve as the on‑site I&C/SCADA specialist supporting deployment activities, overseeing contractors, electricians, and integrators during installation and commissioning while coordinating closely with the SCADA Deployment Manager and project leadership.
- Testing & Commissioning: Lead, execute, and document Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), ensuring all acceptance criteria are met prior to system handover, and support verification of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for SCADA panels prior to shipment.
- Technical Troubleshooting & Integration: Provide hands‑on technical support for SCADA panel hardware, instrumentation setup, site‑specific integration, process mapping, and issue resolution throughout deployment and startup.
- Operational Integration & Optimization: Drive operational integration and process improvements that reduce the need for daily and weekly site visits through enhanced remote monitoring and control capabilities.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate operator and field team training at or before system start‑up, with follow‑up training sessions at 1‑month and 6‑month intervals to ensure long‑term adoption and system proficiency.
- Standards, Safety & Documentation: Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry best practices, and all applicable federal, state, local, and EHS regulations; develop site‑specific operating manuals and complete Site Closeout Packages within 15 days of successful SAT.
