Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The MGT Commissioning Engineer supports instrumentation work—such as VFDs, automated voltage regulators, and generator relay protection—along with low‑ to medium‑voltage electrical tasks. The role also assists with PLC/DCS controls commissioning, with experience in PCS7/T3000, Allen‑Bradley, or RSLogix considered a strong plus.

The engineer leads cold and hot commissioning tests and acts as the primary on‑site company representative. Success requires strong customer coordination, a proactive approach, and steady progress with both customer and project teams. The position offers broad exposure to gas turbine technologies and opportunities to build versatility and advance in responsibility.

Required Skills & Experience

MUST HAVES:
• A background in turbines or the military (Navy/aircraft)
• 3+ years of experience working with any controls systems
○ PLC/DCS
• Willingness to travel over 70% of the time, for 10-12 weeks at a time
Experience working in the field with a focus on mechanical/electrical work

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

PLUSSES:
• US Passport
• Previous gas/steam turbine experience
Experience managing/leading small teams
