JOB DESCRIPTION:
The MGT Site Installation Engineer will install Medium Gas Turbines (20–62 MW) and related equipment at customer sites, requiring over 80% travel across North America. Daily responsibilities include directing subcontractors and participating in site meetings to coordinate installation activities.
The selected candidate will manage material deliveries, provide regular status updates and lessons learned to engineering and management, and utilize a strong mechanical background to read the drawings and schematics required for installation.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee early‑stage project activities, including placing equipment on foundations, bolting down components, giving guidance to the customer, verifying air/exhaust/enclosure installation, aligning equipment, supporting oil flushing and gas hookups, and coordinating concurrent mechanical work. Coordinate with electrical teams and support commissioning activities.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Write detailed project and progress reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform work in a fully hands‑off, supervisory/oversight capacity.
• Serve as the single on‑site point of contact for customers, managing scheduling, required manpower, and overall project flow, including directing where turbine components are installed.

Required Skills & Experience
MUST HAVES:
• 5+ years of mechanical experience within a power plant or an adjacent environment
○ Mechanic, aircraft mechanic, service technician, or millwright backgrounds preferred
• Proficiency with reading technical drawings and processes
Willingness to travel 80% of the time

Associates degree or greater in an Engineering field
