Job Description
The REDCap System Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the REDCap platform within a regulated healthcare environment. This role ensures the stability, security, and performance of the REDCap application and its supporting infrastructure, including cloud-hosted deployments, while partnering closely with leadership, researchers, and technical teams to support data collection, automation, and reporting initiatives. The administrator also drives proactive system management, including backup, disaster recovery, and performance analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain the REDCap application and associated infrastructure, including cloud environments.
• Lead day-to-day administration of the REDCap platform, including system configuration and optimization to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and project access in accordance with organizational policies and governance standards.
• Configure system settings, authentication methods, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Oversee system upgrades, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and incident resolution to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Design, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring comprehensive documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Generate and deliver system usage analytics, performance metrics, and SLA compliance reports to inform system optimization and support organizational decision-making.
• Collaborate with CKMCA leadership, clinical researchers, informatics teams, and analysts to support data pipelines, automation, and reporting initiatives.
• Troubleshoot application, database, and infrastructure issues, escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5-10 years of experience administering REDCap or similar clinical research data capture platforms in a healthcare or research environment.
• Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, APIs, and Linux-based systems.
• Familiarity with authentication frameworks, system integrations, and data security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience working in regulated healthcare or research environments.
• Knowledge of clinical research workflows, data governance, and compliance standards.
