Job Description

A client in the Lockhart, TX area is looking for a System Operations Manager to join their team in Lockhart, TX. This person will be responsible for managing all functions related to the Warehouse Management System including rolling out new WMS Systems at all locations, installing WMS at new locations, and training management team on the intricacies of the system. This person will serve as a bridge between business operations and technology teams, focusing on optimizing systems that support core business processes. Candidate will collaborate with business units and external customers to gather and document requirements for supply chain systems, work with third party vendors at the direction of the Sr Director of Warehouse Applications, and help conduct system testing, validate configurations, and ensure compliance with business requirements. Other day to day duties will include but not be limited to ongoing support for implementation of Blue Yonder WMS in 2 new greenfield sites, plus future site implementations, problem solving and creating project plans, inventory management, validating shipping information, and customer order information for employee order selection. This individual will also be responsible for budgeting all current/future WMS upgrades and creating training manuals to roll out to all locations to ensure appropriate day to day functionality of the WMS System. Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills, have a go getter attitude, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience

4-5+ years of professional experience in an IT Role supporting WMS Program
Previous experience working with Blue Yonder WMS (also known as JDA or RedPrairie)
Hands on experience supporting WMS for multi-site organization
Previous experience with a full life cycle WMS implementation
Significant experience working in a warehouse and supporting operational duties of a facility
Strong knowledge of e-commerce, warehouse automation, and cold storage facilities
Excellent written and verbal communication
Bachelor’s degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience scripting with Python
Previous Warehouse automation and 3PL experience
