Job Description

Designing and building infrastructure at record speed is key to enabling us to scale worldwide. Tesla is looking for a qualified Electrical Designer/Modeler to join our factory infrastructure engineering team onsite in Austin, TX. You will play a pivotal role in the design of complex manufacturing facilities. Required Skills & Experience

· Associate degree preferred in Computerized Drafting field.
· 3-5 years of experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
· Perform design, drafting and 3D modeling using Revit for electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, Security, Telecomm, etc.
· Use National Electric Code to create designs in compliance with national codes.
· Proficient knowledge of electrical system components, conduit types, fittings, pull boxes, cable tray etc.
· Interface and collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines, including understanding 3D coordination with those disciplines.
· Create clash-free model with components to LOD400 and perform flythroughs for stakeholders using Revizto.
· Interface with construction trades and perform regular field walks to review installation progress and adherence to model.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
