Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in the Retail Energy sector, specifically Natural Gas, to support a large-scale GPO integration project. This role is a techno-functional position (60% functional / 40% technical), acting as a conduit between business teams, IT, and vendor partners. The BA will play a critical role in requirements gathering, user story development, integration analysis, and coordination of QA/UAT activities, ensuring successful implementation of the nGENU platform and multiple ERP/CRM integrations.

Day to Day Responsibilities
• Serve as the liaison between business, IT, and vendor teams, supporting a team of 100 people across the system integrator, client, and engineering groups.
• Gather and document requirements, ensuring integration impacts are clearly connected to business functions.
• Create and validate user stories and acceptance criteria; map stories to business processes and identify dependencies.
• Utilize ADO for user story capture and board configuration.
• Interact with the nGENU platform and multiple boundary systems, including ERP and CRM integrations.
• Coordinate QA/UAT activities, including defect resolution and retesting (not test case writing).
• Maintain strong documentation standards and escalate issues proactively.
• Initiate outreach to ~600 identified stakeholders across business and IT independently.
• Support change management efforts and assist with solution configuration as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep knowledge of Retail Energy business, specifically Natural Gas, with at least 5 years of BA experience.
• Strong project management experience and ability to support change management initiatives.
• Understanding of the gas trading lifecycle.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools, including ADO and MS Suite.
• Practical experience in user story creation and validation:
○ Writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
○ Mapping stories to business processes and roadmaps.
○ Identifying dependencies between stories.
• QA/UAT coordination experience (defect resolution and retesting).
• Ability to manage workload, meet aggressive deadlines, and drive decision-making in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with IT, business teams, and leadership.
• Solid documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and configure the solution being built.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• OCM/change management experience.
• Experience configuring ADO boards beyond basic usage.
• Familiarity with large-scale integration projects.
• Prior experience working with vendor teams and multi-party environments.
• Exposure to training or LMS platforms (such as nGENU).
