Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Manager in the North Houston, TX area. We are looking for an experienced Payroll professional to oversee accurate and timely processing of U.S. and Canadian payroll for a fast-growing organization with a large hourly workforce. This role ensures compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations while delivering exceptional service to employees and leaders.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years payroll experience, including 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
Experience with U.S. and Canadian payroll and high-volume, multi-state/province environments.
Strong knowledge of UKG (UltiPro) and Kronos/UKG Dimensions.
Familiarity with FLSA, ESA, and provincial standards; CPP, PCP, or FPC preferred.
Proven ability to improve accuracy and scale payroll operations.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Manage end-to-end biweekly payroll for U.S. and Canada, ensuring compliance with wage & hour laws and tax regulations.
Audit payroll output, resolve discrepancies, and oversee garnishments, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.
Serve as subject matter expert for UKG and Kronos/UKG Workforce Management (Dimensions), troubleshooting issues and leading system upgrades.
Identify automation opportunities and streamline workflows to support rapid growth.
Supervise payroll staff and partner with HR, Finance, and Operations to align processes.
Develop SOPs, support audits, and analyze payroll metrics for continuous improvement.
