Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist for a client in North Houston. This individual will be joining the payroll department and is responsible for ensuring that this organization remains fully compliant with all federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements. This individual is expected to have experience within reconciliations, audits, and compliance. Additionally, this person will monitor tax filings and payments as well as manage state tax registrations, account applications and closures as needed. He/she will be expected to build strong relationships within the business, pay close attention to detail, have self-discipline to accomplish their goals, and be able to see and implement process improvement as it relates to payroll tax. Required Skills & Experience

Obtained bachelor’s degree
3-5 years of experience within a Payroll Tax position
Experience working within UKG
Previous experience ensuring accurate tax compliance at the federal, state, and local levels
Extensive experience preparing, processing, and filing tax forms
Ability to payroll tax fallouts on a biweekly basis
Extensive experience working cross functionally to resolve tax discrepancies and support audit request
