Job Description
An employer is looking for a Software Technical Program Manager for one of their premier technology clients in Houston, TX. He or she will be responsible for scheduling, execution, delivery of end-to-end solutions. This person will engage with Engineering leaders, Product management, Architects, and Product Quality teams to understand requirements, monitor scope, and facilitate product completion, delivery, and continuous operation. He or she will be expected to lead a project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystems. This individual must have strong communication skills as they will be interacting with multiple groups and individuals. This role is local to Houston and must be good with hybrid onsite work scheduled. Based on knowledge and years of experience, this position offers a pay range of $25-30/hr.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of core software programming background with programming language C++, C#, Core Java
5+ Years of experience in a technical leadership role with a progressive experience of Sr Software Engineer or Technical Lead
Extensive exposure to design, development, test, and delivery of complex software and hardware systems
Multi-domain experience in Firmware product development, Application Development, Operating System internals, Security Software, Manageability Software
Technical lead experience for software development both above OS and below OS level
Knowledge of Agile approaches: SCRUM, Kanban or Scrumban
Strong experience with Agile portfolio and sprint backlog planning, grooming, and execution using tools such as MS Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jira
Previous experience working on AI projects
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Scripting language Perl, PowerShell.
Firmware Development - System Level Design & Programming - C.
Knowledge of PC hardware interface (BIOS, EC, Windows Management Interface)
Client Manageability Microsoft SCCM / Microsoft Intune. Familiar with SCCM extension, develop a plugin that can be integrated with SCCM environment, OS deployment.
Security S/W Application Development experience
Technical functional modeling, diagramming, capturing functional specifications, writing User Stories, capturing sequence diagrams
Well versed in the usability of software applications on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux)
Automation Framework Design and maintenance
QA Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance, debug, and troubleshooting skills
