Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Electrician to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a foundry for semiconductor microsystems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.

As an Electrician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the electrical infrastructure that powers a high-tech wafer fabrication and test facility. You will work closely with the Facilities and Operations teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations.
Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical circuits, panels, motors, lighting, and control systems.
Support the commissioning and startup of new electrical systems and equipment.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical work accurately.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and contractors on facility upgrades and expansions.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and inspection reports.
Respond to emergency calls and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience as an electrician in an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low and medium voltage, lighting, grounding, and controls.
Experience working in semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech environment
Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces as needed.
Familiarity with NFPA 70E, OSHA safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
