Team Lead Developer

Insight Global is seeking a Team Lead Developer for one of their top clients in the Brenham TX area. As a technical team contributor, this person will support both in-flight and completed projects by interpreting technical requirements and ensuring alignment with business goals. He/She will collaborate closely with the development team through design guidance, pair programming, code reviews, and sharing best practices. The role includes deploying code, resolving operational issues such as network connectivity and authentication, and optimizing performance to meet application speed targets. You will need to stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks, applying them appropriately to enhance project outcomes. Also, write clean, maintainable, and testable code, delegate tasks based on team strengths, and validate that deployed solutions meet business requirements. Additionally, this candidate provide assistance to the Support Development Team as needed.

-Understand technical requirements for in-flight and completed projects.

· Support development team through answering design or method questions, pair programming, code reviews, and best-practice examples.

· Work with other areas of IT as needed to deploy code to servers and troubleshoot operational issues such (but not limited to) as network connectivity, DNS resolution, database connectivity, authentication.

· Performance tune or optimize code as needed to hit application speed goals.

· Research and experiment with new code patterns, technologies, and frameworks to stay up-to-date on best practices and project-appropriate usage of them.

· Write clean, maintainable, and testable code to meet requirements of assigned tasks.

· Understand individual team member’s strengths and delegate appropriate tasks to them.

· Validate that deployed code meets the related business requirements.

· Be able to assist the Support Development Team as needed.
