Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in technical accounting and financial reporting, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to contribute tactically while growing into more complex responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Tactical Focus
Primary emphasis on tie-out procedures, workbook preparation, and supporting the accounting leadership team.
While the initial focus is tactical, there will be ample opportunities for growth into more complex accounting areas.
General Ledger Management
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures.
Technical Accounting
Research and apply accounting standards (e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock-based compensation).
Document and implement new accounting pronouncements.
Financial Reporting
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist in reporting to management and stakeholders.
Provide variance analyses and financial commentary.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and external audits.
Internal Controls
Help develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
Support audit readiness efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with FP&A and non-finance teams to improve processes and ensure accurate financial data.
Special Projects
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
Skills:
Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls.
Experience with technical accounting research and applying concepts to complex transactions.
Excellent time management, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Excel.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).
Experience in manufacturing industry accounting.
Master’s degree in accounting or related field.
