Network Security Engineer – F5 Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with deep, hands-on expertise in F5 and Palo Alto platforms. This role is focused on managing, maintaining, and optimizing network security infrastructure, with approximately 80% of responsibilities centered on F5 and Palo Alto technologies. Candidates without direct experience in both platforms will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and support F5 technologies, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of modules such as LTM, GTM, ASM, and APM.
Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including policy creation, threat prevention, and device health monitoring.
Support large-scale enterprise environments, preferably within financial or similarly regulated sectors.
Collaborate with senior engineers and leadership to design and implement secure network solutions.
Perform on-site duties in San Antonio, TX, five days a week.

Mandatory hands-on experience with both F5 and Palo Alto platforms.
Proven track record in managing large-scale environments
Strong foundational knowledge of routing/switching, TCP/IP, and general network protocols.
Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Background in financial services or similarly complex enterprise environments.
Familiarity with high-availability configurations and performance tuning.
