Job Description
• Manage and direct all plant operations, including production, logistics, maintenance, and quality control. Develop and execute strategies to optimize productivity and meet production targets.
• Develop, manage, and monitor the plant’s budget. Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and employees. Conduct performance reviews, manage staffing, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Implement and champion continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.
• Oversee the quality control process to ensure all products meet engineering specifications and industry standards, such as those from the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the American Welding Society (AWS).
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery, including welders, saws, and cranes, is well-maintained and operating at peak performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between plant operations and senior management. Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), production output, and financial performance.
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure strict adherence to all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards. Lead safety initiatives and conduct regular audits.

Required Skills & Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Construction, or a related field required (or equivalent amount ((8-10 years)) of experience)
• Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a leadership or management role within a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 3 years in a steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Deep knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Proven experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and other production management tools.
