Job Description

A healthcare provider in Houston, TX is looking for a Women's Health NP to provide advanced nursing care to patients, specifically in the women's health department. Performs professional duties as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in a community health center setting. Duties include direct clinical care in collaboration with the department Section Lead Physician. Primary activities include diagnosing and treating common women's health diseases. This position encompasses health promotion, health maintenance and disease prevention, management of minor acute illness and chronic health conditions for all life cycles.

Required Skills & Experience

Master of Science in Nursing and certification from a women's health nurse practitioner program.
3+ years of experience as NP within Women's Health (heavy focus on prenatal care)
Current license as an APRN-NP to practice in the state of Texas.
Basic Life Support certification required.
Comprehensive knowledge of medical diagnoses, procedures and accepted treatment patterns and primary medical care in out-patient setting.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

National accreditation preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
