Job Description
This position is for our large software client. Our Cloud Infrastructure DevOps team plays a pivotal role in designing and deploying robust infrastructure solutions to support SAP products and services. We are an automation-first organization, prioritizing the deployment of all our cloud resources via automation to enhance efficiency and consistency. Our engineers collaborate closely with internal product teams and customer-facing units to deliver adaptable and scalable code that meets the requirements of our diverse clientele. Candidates will have the opportunity to work across various cloud providers using a wide range of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling and practices, developing provider-agnostic solutions that ensure seamless functionality across different platforms. Our infrastructure supports a broad client base, including local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as private sector organizations engaged in government-related missions.
This cloud platform engineering team is responsible for building and configuring the foundational infrastructure that supports SAP applications, though they do not manage the applications themselves. Their core contributions include setting up the platform services, implementing identity and access management (IAM), and managing networking components. A key area of expertise for the team is cross-cloud connectivity, with a strong emphasis on integration across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). While they work across multiple cloud environments, experience with GCP or Azure is particularly valued.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years in a DevOps engineering position within an enterprise company
- Experience with Cloud Identity and Access Management within the cloud provider, they must know "least privileges"
- Experience with GCP or Azure Cloud
- 5+ years with Terraform to build modules for deploying applications
- Ci/CD pipeline experience, they use Concourse
- 5+ years with Cloud networking: IP routing, subnetting, network troubleshooting
- Knows how to set up user roles and permissions
- Must sit onsite 3x per week in North Austin, TX office
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of Azure foundational technologies (Virtual Networks, Application Gateway, Storage Account, Virtual Machines, Load Balancer, Resource Groups)
-Knowledge of GCP foundational technologies (Projects, Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC)
