Insight Global is seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to support their client's Enterprise Data Platform Modernization initiative. This role focuses on managing and optimizing large-scale SQL Server environments across both on-premises and cloud platforms, with a strong emphasis on performance tuning, automation, and cross-platform integration with Oracle and Azure SQL. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical advisor to stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable, secure database architectures that align with best practices and governance standards. Daily responsibilities include administering high-volume databases, implementing high-availability solutions, developing automation scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance query performance and system reliability. The position also involves supporting SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS environments, executing backup and recovery procedures, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience
· 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in SQL Server administration
○ Proven ability to conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management
· Strong expertise in SQL Server configuration, security, and high-availability strategies
· Hands-on experience with:
○ Always-On Availability Groups
○ Azure SQL Managed Instances
○ Oracle DB administration
· Proficiency in developing automation scripts using PowerShell and Python
· Experience supporting SSIS/SSRS/SSAS
· Understanding of change management processes and enterprise governance
· Bachelor’s Degree required
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Familiarity with scripting languages like Bicep or ARM templates
· Experience with backup tools (e.g., Dell PPDM) and monitoring platforms
· Knowledge of Microsoft Azure solutions and services
· Understanding of compliance frameworks and data governance
