Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to join the Global Banking team at a Fortune 50 financial institution. This is a fully on-site role requiring presence five days a week in Plano, TX. This role requires the ability to work independently while supporting and handling complex internal middleware applications.
Responsibilities include:
1. Respond to requests for application support from business, operations, and interfacing application teams during oncall schedule.
2. Manage incident resolution in production environments for assigned applications.
3. Manage problem tracking and resolution in production environments for assigned applications.
4. Support and perform change tasks per instructions from application teams in production environment.
5. Schedule and manage infrastructure maintenance activities for production environments.
6. Monitor jobs and respond to job alerts timely.
7. Support release and deployment activities as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7+ years of production support experience, with a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise-level applications.
- 5-7+ years exp with Weblogic, IIS and IBM Websphere MQ.
- Highly proficient in writing and executing data queries using SQL within Oracle Databases, with a solid understanding of database structures and data replication processes.
- Proficient in navigating Unix/Linux systems and environments, including reading and utilizing scripts for support purposes.
