Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and driven Civil Field Engineer to join our team in West Texas. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in heavy industrial construction who thrive in dynamic field environments. You’ll play a key role in coordinating construction activities, ensuring quality compliance, and supporting project execution from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret project scope, drawings, and specifications; resolve discrepancies in the field
• Coordinate daily with superintendents, subcontractors, and design engineers
• Manage RFIs, ECNs, change orders, and permit documentation
• Monitor field changes and produce redline drawings to ensure code compliance
• Review and submit test reports; support Quality Control and inspection processes
• Track construction progress, assist in schedule development, and manage material requisitions
• Maintain project documentation, lessons learned, and turnover packages
Operate GPS and survey equipment for layout and verification

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of field engineering experience in heavy industrial construction
• Proficiency in reading civil and structural drawings
• Hands-on experience with concrete and rebar installation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Surveying experience
• Familiarity with construction cycle and field workflows
