Job Description
An Insight Global client is seeking a Sr. Technologist II, System Engineer for a contract-to-hire role focused on the installation, configuration, and daily maintenance of identity management systems, server operating systems, virtualization platforms, and infrastructure tools. This position requires independent work with minimal supervision, active contribution to IT projects, and ownership of individual initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing Identity and Access Management (on-prem AD, Entra AD, MIM), automating tasks using PowerShell and tools like Orchestrator or Ansible, administering M365 and Azure (Exchange, Entra AD, OneDrive), analyzing system logs, supporting global Windows Server environments, participating in on-call rotations, assisting various IT support teams, troubleshooting Tier 3 issues, and creating documentation and training materials for departmental use.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience with Windows Active Directory
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience with scripting and automation tools (Powershell, Ansible, Orchestrator, etc.)
• Minimum of seven (7) years experience using system events, logs, and other tools for troubleshooting, trend analysis, and reporting
• Minimum of five (5) years experience with Identity management systems (MIM, Sailpoint, Net IQ, Okta)
• Minimum of five (5) years experience with vSphere or Azure hypervisors in a large, multi-site environment
• Minimum of five (5) years experience with data gathering and data structures (XML, JSON, YAML, WQL, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Messaging administration and Archiving (Exchange Online, On-prem SMTP, Mimecast)
• Patch Management and Systems Monitoring experience (SCCM, Ivanti, SCOM, SolarWinds, Azure Arc)
• Previous exposure to merger and/or acquisition activities
• Technical certifications preferred
• Travel may be required rarely
