Insight Global is looking to hire a remote PLC Programmer in LATAM. We are seeking a highly skilled PLC Programmer to support the backend of our Alarm Management Program. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity and reliability of alarm data across our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong PLC programming expertise and a solid understanding of oil and gas processes.
Develop, modify, and maintain PLC code related to alarm management systems.
Analyze alarm data and ensure accurate configuration and performance.
Manipulate backend systems to optimize alarm handling and reduce false positives.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration.
Participate in audits and reviews of PLC programming work to ensure quality and compliance.
Provide recommendations and insights based on alarm system performance.

Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
Strong understanding of alarm management systems and industrial automation.
Familiarity with oil and gas processes is highly preferred.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy—mistakes in this role can have significant impact.
Ability to work independently and under scrutiny during audit periods.
