Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a team of 16 multi-discipline engineers. The person in this role will be providing support to a server hall, the largest area in the hyperscale data center with mechanical, piping and electrical infrastructure. They will be accountable for the electrical scope and systems across the design, construction, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning phases. The electrical scope included is all low voltage power distribution, busway, ATS (automatic transfer switch), MTS (manual transfer switch), Nfers, electrical layouts, lighting and single line diagrams. They will be checking and approving drawings produced both in-house and by 3rd party partners. They will support the team during the manufacturing stage. Additionally, they will provide physical troubleshooting and commissioning assistance as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
5-7 years of experience
Experience with BOM & MTO's in SAP or similar software
ETAP/SKM or similar
Experience or familiarity with performing the following calculations/design:
Low Voltage Power Distribution: Load flow analysis, voltage drop, fault current calculations, and sizing of cables and protective devices.
Busway Systems: Current carrying capacity, thermal limits, and short-circuit withstand ratings.
ATS/MTS (Automatic/Manual Transfer Switches): Transfer time, load transition impact, and coordination with backup systems.
Medium and Low Voltage Switchgear: Arc flash analysis, protection coordination, and breaker sizing.
Low Voltage Rectification Systems: DC load calculations, ripple factor, and transformer sizing.
Lighting Calculations: Lux levels, fixture placement, energy consumption, and emergency lighting compliance.
Single Line Diagrams: System topology, fault isolation paths, and redundancy planning.
UPS Systems: Battery sizing, autonomy time, inverter efficiency, and harmonic distortion.
