We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware Expert to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of VMware-based virtualization infrastructure. You will work closely with systems administrators, network administrators, and other technical staff to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficiency of our virtual environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage VMware infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
Perform upgrades, patches, and health checks on virtualization systems.
Monitor system performance and resource utilization to ensure optimal efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to VMware and associated systems.
Implement and manage VMware features like vMotion, DRS, HA, and vSAN.
Maintain and update documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and secure configurations.
Work with backup and disaster recovery tools integrated with VMware (e.g., Veeam, Netbackup).
Support cloud integration or hybrid environments (e.g., VMware Cloud on AWS).
Participate in on-call rotations and provide support outside of regular business hours as needed.

Proven experience (10+ years) in VMware infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi.
Hands-on experience with Windows and virtual machines.
Understanding of storage, networking, and backup technologies in virtual environments.
Ability to script and automate tasks using PowerCLI, PowerShell, or similar tools.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or higher (VCAP, VCIX).
Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and how it integrates with VMware.
Experience with ITIL practices and change management processes.
Hands-on experience with Linux virtual machines.
