A client in Houston, TX is looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join their drilling software team. The ideal candidate would be someone that has experience with software user testing and has worked on a project in a domain driven software environment. The ideal candidate will be someone with an expertise in drilling domain with a knowledge of software user testing. This individual will be testing a proprietary drilling modeling application, testing the functionally of the application to assure the UI is built in conjunction to specifications set forth by the users, and working with development teams to correct any errors. He/She will need to define testing objectives based on Acceptance Criteria, write comprehensive test cases to verify project functionality, and validate functionality according to requirements/stories. Lastly, this person will need to have excellent communication to communicate with engineers in the field and team members offshore. This position will be onsite 5 days/week and will be at the hourly rate of $50-$55/hour.

3+ years experience in test automation and manual testing
Experience with Playwright/Cucumber/Protractor/Cypress
Knowledge of web applications with Angular
Familiar with JavaScript/typescript or Python
Familiar with scrum process
Can write clear, sufficiently detailed bug, able to track and verify bugs
Domain experience in Oil and Gas
