An employer is looking for an OSP Engineer in the Houston, TX area. You will primarily be repsonsible for fiber plant design, design engineering and splicing packages for field vendors to leverage on new fiber builds. You will utilize GIS (3GIS) heavily for adjusting fiber paths, resolving broken circuits, and uploading new builds to the system. You will work closely with local municipalities to address right-of-way, permitting and property rights as needed to ensure access is in place. Additional tasks will include the occasional site visits to inspect vendor completion, drafting efforts for new fiber routes/ splicing packages, and site surveys.
