Job Description

The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure within the AWS ecosystem. This role will enable cloud-native solutions to support enterprise data, application, and analytics platforms, ensuring operational excellence, security, and cost-efficiency. Other responsibilities include:

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, following best practices and architectural standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Development, and Product) to gather requirements and translate them into effective cloud-based architectures.
• Develop, manage, and version Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ensuring repeatability and consistency across environments.
• Automate deployment workflows, monitoring, and incident response through CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, availability, and AWS costs; recommend and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., data governance, privacy, and security).
• Provision and manage core AWS services including VPCs, IAM roles/policies, S3, EC2, and others as needed.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies, automated backups, and failover mechanisms to support business continuity.

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 4 years’ experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments with a focus on AWS
• Hands-on with core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC,
• Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
• Understanding of network design principles, routing, DNS, VPN, and firewalls in AWS
• Familiarity with AWS security best practices, compliance standards, monitoring, and cost optimization

• CI/CD pipeline experience
