An oncology clinic is seeking a seasoned Infusion RN to join their team at their Cedar Park location. This person will be responsible for:
-Planning, implementing, coordinating, evaluating and promoting the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
-Assessing patient/family needs and providing teaching and other instructional material.
-Preparing and administering therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
-Administering all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time and technique.
-Assuring pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.
-Facilitating dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management
-Performing venipuncture, accessing implanted ports and maintaining central lines catheter devices.
-Maintaining accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
-Applying knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.

-Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
-Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
-Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in Texas.
-Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
-Previous oncology experience
