Insight Global is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer in San Antonio, TX, who will play a key role in supporting and securing enterprise infrastructure, with a primary focus on firewall engineering, cloud security, and endpoint protection. This role is ideal for a technically skilled, collaborative professional eager to grow within a dynamic cybersecurity team.
Key Responsibilities:
Firewall Engineering (50%): Manage and configure Checkpoint firewalls, including rule creation, policy updates, and troubleshooting.
Zscaler Technologies (25%): Support ZIA, ZPA, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) implementations.
Endpoint Protection (25%): Work with tools like CrowdStrike and Carbon Black (or similar) to manage endpoint security and application whitelisting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge and support broader cybersecurity initiatives.
Operate safely and effectively in sensitive OT (Operational Technology) environments.
Contribute to the teams effort to break down silos and build well-rounded technical expertise.

26 years of experience in cybersecurity or network engineering roles.
Hands-on experience with Checkpoint firewalls.
Familiarity with Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZTNA models).
Experience with endpoint protection platforms (CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, or similar).
Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a hybrid team environment.
Exposure to OT environments or industrial control systems.
Background in legacy web proxy solutions (helpful but not required).
Experience working in contractor-heavy or matrixed teams.
