We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Composite Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and scale our composite manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a strong people leader with a background in composites, process development, and production scaling. Youll manage a growing team of engineers and work closely with leadership to drive innovation, efficiency, and quality in our manufacturing processes.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends tactical execution with strategic planning. The ideal candidate will supervise all facets of production, including build specifications, manufacturing engineering, tooling, manufacturing technology, quality control prerequisites, and production floor layout and enhancement.
Lead and mentor a team of 1015 engineers, with plans to expand
Develop and implement strategies for composite manufacturing aligned with business goals
Oversee project and program execution across the full lifecycle: design test production sustainment
Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency, cost, and quality
Collaborate cross-functionally with design, R&D, and technician teams
Manage factory layout, tooling, and production floor optimization
Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and safety regulations
Support digital transformation initiatives (e.g., digital work instructions, value stream mapping)
Lead root cause and corrective action efforts
Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for multiple concurrent projects

Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
Familiarity with FAA, DOD, NASA, AS9100 standards
Background in bringing R&D projects into production
Exposure to Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing technologies
