Insight Global is hiring a Network Transport Engineer to support a major telecommunications client in Richardson, TX (This role may be fully remote for qualified applicants). This position will be responsible for developing and executing support strategies for lab environments that enable next-generation network technologies. The Network Transport Engineer's work will directly support the testing and development of cutting-edge mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement lab test bed environments based on requirements.
Ensure lab setups are fully operational before testing or development begins.
Schedule and manage lab resource availability to meet project timelines.
Provide technical support and triage for lab-related issues, including vendor coordination and escalation.
Maintain lab infrastructure to ensure high availability and production-like performance.
Manage lab inventory and ensure accurate documentation of assets.
Track and document lab activities and statuses using Jira and other tools.

Minimum 5 years of experience in IP routing troubleshooting experience
Previous experience with Cisco and Nokia platforms
Understanding of data center spine-leaf architecture
Proficiency in various routing protocols such as BGP, SR, IS-IS, BFD, and EVPN
CCNP
Hands-on experience with 5G Mobility applications and related technologies.
Familiarity with lab operations, including standard procedures and best practices.
Proficiency with network testing tools such as Ixia, Spirent, or similar platforms.
Experience in network automation and scripting using tools like Python, Ansible, or Shell scripting.
