Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join the Optimization group of one of our esteemed clients in the Oil and Gas industry. This team plays a crucial role in developing advanced models that inform and prescribe optimal operating conditions for physical oil and gas assets. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of projects aimed at enhancing production volumes, refining drilling processes, economic planning, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sophisticated models to optimize production volumes and drilling processes.

Based on knowledge and experience, this position offers and hourly pay rate range of $70-95/hr.

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience in the Oil and Gas industry as a Data Scientist.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
Proficiency in Python programming.
Proven experience in end-to-end model deployment.
Expertise in creating machine learning models.
Strong background in statistical modeling using Bayesian inference, particularly with PyMC.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
Knowledge of GitHub actions and advanced CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Experience with oil and gas economic modeling.
Familiarity with Aries software for well economics.
Experience working with SCADA systems.
Background in field engineering.
