This is related to a security hardening project within IT, specific to data space. As much as we need this position filled, it is paramount that this individual is technically competent and has core experience in security workflows and process management. And while we would love for this security process to be designed for the future state and seamlessly integrated with fabric initiative, this is a gap in our current security process.
Design Security Process and workflow, including automation, management, and audit which takes our current security workload down to 1 hour of work/monitoring a week. Include role optimization including service accounts. (atlan, snowflake, ad provisioner)
o E2E access management/report
Owners have the ability to see what they own and who access to it
Data operations has a quick view to see all security permissions and last time it was updated/audited
Separate current data pipelines by domain (Snowflake, devOps, astro)
o Monitor performance and cost usage and raise timely alerts if any deviations/anomalies found.
o Which domains are consuming the most credits
Other potential projects-
Encryption, password (key) management, access control, row access, masking, retention, purging.
Network security, IP whitelisting, secure data sharing, etc.

- Proven experience designing and implementing security processes and workflows in an enterprise data environment.
- Ability to automate security operations, including audit trails, monitoring, and reporting.
- Integration with tools such as Atlan, Snowflake, and AD provisioners.
- Snowflake, particularly in: Access controls, Monitoring performance and credit usage, Security auditing
- Experience with scripting and automation, preferably using: Python, SQL (mandatory) , Java or Scala (nice to have for broader integration work),
- Understanding of cloud data platforms, especially: Azure Synapse
- Strong foundation in data security best practices, including: Encryption and password/key management, Row- and column-level security ,Data masking, retention, and purging, Network security (IP whitelisting, secure data sharing)
