Day to Day: The Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. They are responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support front desk operations at Texas Oncologys service centers. Here are some key responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
Register patients, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow at the front desk.
Answer phone calls, route inquiries, and provide information to patients and staff.
Maintain accurate patient records and update necessary information.
Assist with billing and insurance-related inquiries.
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
Coordinate with other departments within the clinic.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
