Job Description

A healthcare employer in Houston, TX is seeking Cybersecurity Data Protection Analyst. This person will be responsible for the MS Purview tool and handling the data loss prevention strategy. They will work with various teams across the organization to what their data and how it needs to be labeled and protected. You will be responsible for assisting with the DLP including prevention and sensitivity architecture set up for the entire entity. The current DLP tool is MS purview and the ideal candidate will have strong experience and know the ins and outs of setting up data classification rules and sensitivity labels as well as the policies behind them.

Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years of proven experience within data security and data loss prevention
Experience with MS Purview DLP, Data Classification and Sensitivity Labels knows how to set up, deploy and manage
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
Experience and knowledge of SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience working in a healthcare environment.
Certifications
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
CompTia Security+
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
