Insight Global is looking for an Automation Project Manager that sits in the Plano, TX area with frequent travel throughout the US. This PM will be responsible for bridging the gap between current functions and technology, leading the evaluation, selection, and implementation of automation/digital solutions to revolutionize operational and business capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate operational needs and translate them into technical requirements
Analyze current processes to identify automation opportunities
Assess market solutions for warehouse automation, transportation management systems, and digital tracking platforms
Design future-state processes and implementation frameworks incorporating new technologies
Develop technical specifications and integration requirements
Lead proof-of-concept projects and pilot implementations
Coordinate with vendors, IT teams, and stakeholders during solution deployment
Lead technical discussions and manage relationships with technology vendors and solution providers
Guide project teams in technology selection and implementation strategies
Ensure alignment between operational needs and technological solutions
Create technical documentation and standard operating procedures

3+ years of experience in logistics/supply chain technology implementation
Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS)
Experience with automation technologies in logistics operations
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
Travel is required for this role, up to 50%
