Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Fiber Locate Technician to join their customers growing team. This person will be responsible for helping to locate and flag underground fiber utilities to avoid outages during preconstruction digs. The right person should have at least a year of Field Utility experience and be comfortable working in the elements. The right candidate will come with an understanding of using appropriate equipment to connect to underground tracer wires and identify fiber optic cable. They should have a clean driving record and valid drivers license.

Required Skills & Experience

- 1 year of recent experience locating underground fiber optic cable
- Ability to read maps and blueprints
- Experience using Optical Fiber Identifiers or Live Fiber detectors (other utility would be transferable but Fiber preferred)
- Proven track record of working with minimal supervision
- Clean Motor Vehicle history and valid drivers license
