A large oil and gas operator is hiring a Document Control Specialist to join their DC (Document Control) team in Houston. The Document Control Specialist is responsible for carrying out the document control processes from beginning to end to support the I&E team. This individual will manage multiple projects at a given time specifically overseeing documents that are required to operate the pipelines. This position focuses on the accurate completion from the turnover packages of the deliverables through project close-out. Other responsibilities include verifying that documents and deliverables adhere to project contract requirements, project procedures and company policy, executing within the document management system, Aconex, the daily activities of each active project, and processing the latest version of a document to ensure the latest approved revision of documents is available. This individual must have excellent communication as there will be internal and external communication at all times. This communication will involve the issuance and release of documents including drawings, parts, specifications, etc. per company procedure, communicating with document originators and engineering personnel to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents, and maintaining close relationships with the project team members ensuring support is available.
This is a hybrid role, working remote on Mon. and Fri.

Overall 5-6 years of experience utilizing doc control management system within oil and gas
Has a knowledge of Oracles Aconex Document Management System
High School Diploma or GED
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Pipeline document control experience
Quality or Lean Management certification (e.g., ISO-9001, Six Sigma, PMP).
Experience working in regulated environment regarding PHMSA, FERC, DOT, BSEE, PSM, etc.
Document Control experience with an owner/operator or an EPC (Engineering / Procurement / Construction) organization
