Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Hydraulics engineer for a premier client in Oil and Gas located in downtown houston. As a Hydraulics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the design, optimization, and operational efficiency of pipeline systems using digital twin technology. You will work closely with commercial, operations, and engineering teams to simulate and analyze what if scenarios, enabling data-driven decisions across the organization. Daily responsibilities include cross-functional collaboration, serve as a technical liaison between commercial teams and engineering, translating business needs into hydraulic modeling solutions, provide hydraulic input for new projects, identifying and recommending system optimizations to improve throughput, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance reliability. The Engineer also supports ongoing efforts in Operations, Engineering, and Commercial with hydraulic analysis and recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in engineering

1-5 years of professional work experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient with MS office

Up to 10% travel to field locations and Operations Control in Midland, Texas

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Synergi pipeline simulator experience

Pipeline engineering or operations support experience

Knowledge of pumps/valves surge mitigation systems

Python experience
