Job Description

Day-to-Day:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in create and revise technical documents, manuals, reports, brochures, articles, and guides. They will work closely with a variety of different stakeholders, managers, and project managers within different departments to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of content.
Edit and revise documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.
Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance understanding of technical content.
Manage documentation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve documentation.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in English, technical writing, or a related field.
3+ years of technical writing experience preparing written documentation for employee handbook and policy documentation.
INFOR experience for improving guidebooks and processes.
Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar.
Ability to understand and convey complex technical concepts clearly.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working within transportation or government/federal space
