Job Description

The Global Accounting Manager reports to the Global Assistant Controller and is responsible for the integrity of our financial statements including the timely and accurate submission of monthly results in compliance with US GAAP and is supporting all aspects of our control environment throughout the world.

We are seeking a hands-on manager with a 7+ year track record of success, who is comfortable with both US GAAP and management reporting. This position is responsible for accounting close at headquarters, global consolidation activities and working with regional controllership staff to drive global team initiatives. The ideal candidate will exhibit the highest degree of ethics, a bias for action, and organizational aptitude via working seamlessly across cultures in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

* Demonstrate a strong tone at the top across the global organization with respect to corporate governance, controls, accountability, and commitment to excellence.
* Responsible for managing or preparing close activities and reporting for the HQ entity
* Responsible for financial leadership and a key steward of assets. Establish financial processes that promote a strong internal control environment to assure the records of the company are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, accounting manual, and other regulatory requirements, as applicable.
* Meet reporting requirements including monthly reporting, quarterly reporting, year-end, and tax reporting, including consolidation and review of financial information from all operating units.
* Oversee audit program including balance sheet reviews, critical controls monitor and internal control remediation/improvements.
* Upholds commitment to quality through robust review and analysis.
* Action oriented with respect to continuous improvement of management reporting and a driving force of implementation of OneStream EPM.
* Builder of trusted relationships across Finance (Controllership, Systems, FP&A, Internal Audit) and external auditors.
* Relationship liaison between client and Business Services (shared services) and capable of driving global process improvement in Accounts Receivable, including credit and collection, Accounts Payable and General Ledger.
* Able to source best practices to implement consistent accounting policy that spans commercial, operational and technical accounting across our global sites.
* Assist with special projects on group wide initiatives, Kaizen events, process simplification and client specific projects as requested.
* Provide technical support and coaching to global financial staffs. Ensure client initiatives and requirements are communicated to and implemented by global financial teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA required; CMA a plus
7+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong technical expertise in US GAAP and management reporting
Public accounting experience required; combination of public and private industry (preferably in manufacturing) strongly preferred
Experience working across global accounting teams and with culturally diverse partners
Strong understanding of ERP and EPM systems (Oracle R12, OneStream, or similar)
Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate across functions without direct reports
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
Able to work extended or flexible hours to collaborate with teams in different time zones
