Job Description

Insight global is looking for a Capital Projects Manager with a background in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Based in Sugar Land, TX, this role requires strong project management and engineering skills. Responsibilities include enforcing SH&E standards, supporting capital projects, and plant design. The role involves managing all aspects of project design, construction, procurement, schedules, quality assurance, safety, and cost control. Additionally, it requires ensuring compliance with local laws, working with local engineering firms, and providing start-up training and documentation. This person will work alongside five other engineers and report to the Engineering Manager.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Hands-on Capital Projects (CAPEX) experience
Experience working with 5+ projects at a time with spend in the tens of millions of dollars
Project Management or Project Engineer experience
Ability to develop Project Charters, develop engineering solutions, and meet deliverables.
Ability to create Capital Authorization Requests (CARs) and FEED (front end engineering design).
Experience with Chemicals
Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

PE License
Experience with large organizations
