Job Description

Overall Purpose: Develop and maintain category-specific strategies and plans for IT hardware, including servers, routers, switches, cloud, and core network, to support organizational goals. Focus on internal demand aggregation, external market impacts to AT&Ts strategy, supplier management, and collaborative innovation.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Category Strategy and Market Analysis: Develop and maintain category-specific strategies and plans. Conduct market research to identify and assess risks and opportunities.
Supplier Management and Contract Negotiation: Establish contract standards for the supported category. Work cross-functionally to support the negotiation of key contracts. Understand and incorporate technical specifications and requirements.
Collaborative Innovation and Cross-Functional Coordination: Drive collaborative innovation with internal stakeholders, supply chain, and suppliers. Interface and persuade cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, to ensure seamless execution of category plans.
Performance Monitoring and Process Improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) using data analytics to track category and supplier performance. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Cost Management and Spend Solutions Strategies: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities. Develop tail spend management strategies to reduce vendor proliferation. Leverage technological platforms for efficient buying channel management.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong technical background in IT hardware.
Ability to understand and develop strategies.
Experience in corporate strategy and development.
Proven track record in business development, market sizing, pricing, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategies.
Ability to drive new business opportunities and improve existing business processes.
Experience in leading high-impact projects with customers, partners, and corporate senior leadership teams.
Knowledge of multiple generations of technology.
Ability to push back on the team and provide technical insights.
Proficiency in Excel/Microsoft Suite

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Power BI
Project Management (PMP)
Experience in negotiations and managing vendor relationships
