Job Description

The Program Manager is expected to lead the development, implementation, and improvement of internal safety programs that the company must abide by. The main programs that the Program Manager will focus on are the Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) prevention program, Human and Organizational Performance Principles (HOP), and Learning Teams. The Program Manager must ensure all safety programs are aligned to industry standards and fall within regulatory compliance/requirements. Other responsibilities include working with different internal business units to ensure safe and operational leadership is utilized and manage the continuous improvement of these safety programs. The Program Manager will also be responsible for developing the governance standards for controls assessments and field verifications, conducting field visits when needed to assess the health of the safety programs, and ensure all trainings for the safety programs are up to date. This is a lead role within the safety and technical training department, and the Program Manager will lead the roll-out of these projects and programs, development process improvements, and analyze data to enhance performance and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of program management experience, specifically within safety, risk, or control verification
5+ years of experience in safety management or serious injury prevention
Continuous Improvement and Agile Project Management experience
Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Psychology, Engineering, Business, or related technical field
Able to apply advanced knowledge of human and organizational performance (HOP) philosophies

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

ASP/CSP/SMS/ PMP or equivalent certification
Program Management experience serious injury prevention
Utilities industry experience
