JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Senior P&C Technician to join our team of traveling technicians. As a Senior P&C Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems in high voltage substations. You will be responsible for testing, commissioning, and maintaining protective relays and control systems. Travel up to 3 weeks at a time will be required for this role. We are targeting candidates to travel regionally in the Texas, Rocky Mountain, and Northwest areas.
Responsibilities:
Conduct testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
Perform hands-on protective relay testing using relay test sets (e.g., Omicron CMC 256/356 or Doble F6150).
Test and troubleshoot relays such as SEL-311L, SEL-387, SEL-487, SEL-421, SEL-351S, GE L90, and GE D60.
Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) to ensure safety during testing activities.
