An upstream, midstream and petrochemicals company in Houston is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This role involves comprehensive mechanical and piping engineering responsibilities, including sizing calculations for rotating and static equipment, preparing RFQ packages, and conducting technical bid evaluations. It also encompasses pipe stress analysis, developing pipe and valve specifications, and performing hydraulic analysis for both steady-state and transient systems. Additionally, the role includes pipeline engineering tasks such as design, stress calculations, and alignment sheet development. Ensuring compliance with codes and client standards, interfacing with design and project management teams, and reviewing all mechanical and piping deliverables are also key aspects. Finally, the role requires PE sign/seal of final documentation for permits and construction.

Bachelor's degree in engineering. Mechanical preferred.
7-10 years of experience.
5+ with midstream facilities or pipelines. US projects only.
Experience with design engineering and working with other designers.
Good communication and ok with a collaborative, fast pace work environment.
Experience with compressors, pumps, valves, traps, strainers, tanks and piping.
Knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4 and B31.8, CFR/DOT regulations and other API standards for design.
