An employer in the Sugar Land, Texas area is looking for an IT Systems Consultant. This person will work along side of the team's manager and help take on various project work, lead team meetings and engage with vendor relationships. The System Administrator (ITSM) will manage user access, system health checks, and product ownership while coordinating projects without a dedicated PM. They will act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring smooth communication and project execution. Responsibilities include overseeing ITSM tools, integrating new services like Payroll, and leading asset management initiatives. The role involves data analysis, dashboard creation, and refining system metrics with vendors. While not coding from scratch, the candidate must understand Java, APIs, and database structures for mapping and troubleshooting. They should be comfortable leading discussions, gathering requirements, and managing multiple stakeholders. Strong self-starters with ITSM experience (V4 preferred) who can drive process improvements and system enhancements will thrive in this role. This position pays anywhere from $50-$60/hr based on skillset and experience.

7+ years of experience in a IT Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Database Admin, or similar role
Must have a strong understanding of ITIL processes and procedures
ITSM Experience is required
Basic Java programming experience (wont be doing the coding, but needs to be able to read the code)
Understanding of basic systems design principals
Understanding of how databases are created and work
Data Analytics and dashboard creation experience
