Insight Global is looking for a Lease Renewal Analyst for an oil and gas client located in downtown Houston. This person will be supporting a land department and will be responsible for analyzing lease records and GIS data to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency, engage directly with landowners and governmental agencies as necessary, prepare appropriate lease documentation, including leases, licenses, amendments, etc. when renewals are required, Manage governmental agencies renewals that are handled by 3rd party contractors, assist in the monitoring of payments, obligations and expiration of lease and term rights-of-way and other land documents, calculate rental payments, and assist with annual Lease Document budget forecast preparation. Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable working onsite 3 days per week.

4+ years of relevant experience working in a lease renewal analyst role
Prior experience working with GIS and Google Earth
Working knowledge with a land management software system
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Extensive understanding of land terminology, contracts and their uses with the ability to work on projects of increased complexity under general direction.
Knowledge of land principles and their application with the ability to analyze land data for the entry into the land data management system
Strong negotiation skills, independent decision maker
Accounts Payable experience (knowledge of how right of way are paid)
BS Degree
Experience working with state land offices
