Job Description

An employer in the Greenville, TX market is looking for a SIGINT Systems Engineer you will be involved in activities directly related to the design, and development of complex, specialized SIGINT (COMINT or ELINT) hardware/software systems, specifically the building and testing of RF systems. Works closely with the customer to comprehensively design and implement new system functionality. Writes requirements, supports development, performs integration testing of new or modified products in a Systems Integration Laboratory and on airborne and ground-based platforms. Verifies and validates new baseline functionality while ensuring legacy functionality continues to work as intended. Will interface with other Systems Engineers, Agile Development Engineering, Flight Line Test, Product Development and Project Engineering to understand new baseline functionality.

Required Skills & Experience

a. Possess knowledge and understanding of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT).
b. Follows existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with system hardware and software and verifies subsequent anomaly fixes.
c. Interfaces with the customer to ensure their satisfaction with system performance.
d. Will work with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work.
e. Will provide regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to management and the customer.
f. Understanding of both software engineering, hardware engineering, and program management.
g. Prepare and present technical results for internal and external program meetings
h. Document and support infrastructure, network, & mission processor design verification tests within lab, ground and flight test environments.
i. Develop, track and present technical metrics
j. Manage requirements using collaborative tools through all phases of the project.
k. Read and interpret block diagrams, wire diagrams, mechanical drawings and circuit schematics
l. Ability to obtain TS/SCI
m. Understanding of System Engineering fundamentals and processes
n. Ability and willingness to travel
o. Ability to support proposals and bidding in response to a customer Request for Proposal (RFP).
p. Qualifications:
ii. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or other technical degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
iii. Graduate Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or other technical degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
iv. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
v. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
vi. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
vii. Proven ability to meet timelines.
viii. Microsoft Office expertise.
ix. Able to travel up to 10%.

e. Understanding of RF communication systems, modulations, encoding and multiplexing.
f. Understanding of single and multi-ship direction finding techniques including technology trade-offs, watson-watt, doppler, correlative interferometry, TDOA, and FOA.
g. Comfort with Matlab scripting
h. Familiarity with Hypervisor, containers, and Linux operating including comfort with Command Line Linux
i. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems specifically System Application Products (SAP).
j. Possess in depth knowledge of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology.
k. Possess in-depth knowledge of Antenna Array design.
l. Possess basic to in-depth knowledge of project management.
