Job Description

* Provide expert level, hands-on machinery support for a variety of equipment across the site, including pumps, compressors, conveyors, fans, mixers, centrifuges, and blowers.

* Hands on -- SME for Machinery onsite

* Validate equipment cleanliness, readiness, and initial run-in performance prior to process commissioning, and lead interdisciplinary pre-startup safety reviews and project handovers for critical machinery.

* Mechanical completion walks, startup and commissioning, troubleshooting issues, developing reliability programs, preventative maintenance plans

* Support design reviews as required (i.e., HAZOP, P&ID reviews, 3-D model reviews, etc.) ensuring the facility is constructed with suitable maintainability and reliability premises.

* Work with the Project and Process Design teams to ensure that an appropriate stock of spare parts is provisioned, and management systems are populated with required equipment data.

* Develop equipment specific expertise through a strong collaboration with vendors and third-party suppliers and lead the development of a technician training program.

* Lead the development and implementation of discipline specific preventative maintenance procedures, work practices, operator rounds, & equipment strategies to enable efficient life-cycle management of plant assets post-startup.

Required Skills & Experience

* Evidence of exceptional ability, including a strong understanding of machinery fundamentals, practical hands-on experience, and demonstrated ability to leverage this understanding to solve challenging technical problems.

* 10+ years in an industrial manufacturing environment, with experience supporting Operations and Maintenance organizations. Experience with solids handling, rotary calcination and hydro-metallurgical equipment is a plus.

* In-depth knowledge of applicable API standards and code requirements for rotating equipment.

* Proficiency in high tolerance measurement tools, analog and digital. NCCER certification a plus.

* Expert acumen in conducting RCFAs and developing/implementing effective solutions.

* Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally requiring extended hours.

* Strong experience in implementing effective rotating equipment maintenance and reliability programs.
